Social Media Marketing for Artists

Social media is changing how people buy art— and it’s here to stay. Artists are invited to learn how to use social media to promote themselves and their work at a seminar scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 30 at the Society of Bluffton Artists Center for Creative Arts, located beside the gallery on Church Street in Old Town Bluffton. The cost is $99 for SoBA members and $125 for non-members.
This class will cover the basics of utilizing common social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest, and provide helpful tips to help increase your online presence. The instructor, Andrea Smith, is a graphic designer and artist, who resides in Bluffton. She is an award-winning creative professional, recognized for strengths in strategic thinking, tactical planning and design.
Students should bring a laptop or tablet. It will be helpful if you are register on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest so that you are familiar with the platforms.
Classes are held in the SoBA Center for Creative Arts next door to the SoBA Gallery at 8 Church Street, Bluffton, unless otherwise noted. Schedule is subject to change. Please make reservations in advance for all workshops. Art teachers’ compensation for their time and expertise depends on a minimum number of students per class. Registration commits you, the teacher, and SoBA. When enrolling, please pay in advance by check, credit card or PayPal on our website so that we will reserve a seat for you.
