HTCCS Announces New Faculty 2019-2020

It is with great pleasure that Holy Trinity Classical Christian School announces the addition of ten new faculty members for the 2019-2020 school year. These new faculty members bring extensive knowledge, considerable experience, and special assets to the school. They join HTCCS in its mission to provide a classical Christian education to students and families in Beaufort. Headmaster Rev. Chad Lawrence adds, “I am grateful to have such a gifted and talented faculty here at Holy Trinity.”
Lindsey Acord, Upper School Math: Mrs. Acord attended Marshall University and Western Governors University where she received a BA in Secondary Math Education. She has received her AP Calc certification.
Phil Charpie, Upper School Science: Dr. Charpie teaches AP Physics. He earned a BS degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech and spent 10 years working in the steel industry before returning to graduate school. He graduated from Penn State University in 1991 with a PhD in Engineering Science and Mechanics.
Paul Hunter, Upper School Classics & Latin: Rev. Hunter graduated from Thomas Aquinas College, CA with a BA in Liberal Arts (2009), and Trinity School for Ministry, Ambridge, PA with a Master of Divinity (2013).
Alex Richard, Upper School Math: Mr. Richard graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Mathematics. He also serves as Assistant Athletic Director at Holy Trinity.
Benjamin Wallace, Upper School Humane Letters: Mr. Wallace attended Moody Bible Institute and received a BA in Theology. He earned a Master in the Art of Teaching from Marian University. He served for two years with Teach for America.
Kimani Brown-Carpenter, Preschool & Kindergarten P.E.: Mr. Brown-Carpenter’s background is in dance and physical education. He serves with Young Life of Beaufort and is also an instructor at Carolina Collective Dance Center in Bluffton.
Kathleen Lewis, Grammar School Faculty: Mrs. Lewis teaches 6th grade. She attended Columbia International University and graduated with a BA in Humanities and a minor in Philosophy. She was awarded the Medieval Literatures and Cultures MSc at University of Edinburgh.
Kirk Spitzer, Grammar School Faculty: Mr. Spitzer teaches 6th grade. He graduated from Liberty University with a BS in Religious Studies. He received an MA in Secondary Education/Elementary Education, History & Biblical Studies from Grand Canyon University.
Elijah Melendez, Grammar School Faculty: Mr. Melendez teaches 3rd grade. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Citadel with a BA in English and a minor in Fine Arts. He was awarded the International Baccalaureate diploma.
Erin Wallace, Grammar School Faculty: Mrs. Wallace is a Kindergarten Assistant. She is attending Moody Bible Institute and is completing her final semester online.
