Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Welcomes Four New Associates

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd is pleased to announce that David Caughran, Elliot Condon, Joseph Spate and Phillips Workman have joined the firm.

David Caughran is based in the Charleston office and joins the public finance team. David received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school he served as an intern for the Hon. J. Michelle Childs, U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. He is also a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South. Prior to law school, David worked in Washington, D.C. for more than six years and gained valuable experience in government relations, policy development and communications strategy.

Elliot Condon, also based in the Charleston office, practices products liability and insured defense litigation. She also works with employers on employment agreements, wage payment matters and other state employment-related regulations. Elliot earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her B.A. from Clemson University. Prior to joining Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, Elliot served as a Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Joseph F. Anderson, Jr., U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Based in the firm’s Columbia office, Joseph Spate focuses his practice on insurance defense and products liability matters. He received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as Fourth Circuit Editor of the South Carolina Law Review and Vice-Chair of the Honor Council. He is also a graduate of Erskine College. Prior to joining the firm, Joseph served as a Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Joseph F. Anderson, Jr., U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Phillips Workman is based in the Greenville office, where he will focus his practice on commercial real estate, finance and corporate law matters. Prior to law school, Phillips interned in the Office of Former President George W. Bush and at the George W. Bush Institute in Dallas, Texas. Phillips received his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law and his B.A. from Clemson University.
