Coastal Care Partners names Tonya Hillis its Director of Operations and Community Engagement

Tonya Hillis has joined Coastal Care Partners, Savannah’s only comprehensive, registered nurse-managed aging services company, as Director of Operations and Community Engagement. In addition to the greater Savannah area, Coastal Care Partners serves Bluffton s and Hilton Head Island, SC.

“We are delighted that Tonya is part of our team,” Amy Pierce, Coastal Care Partners’ co-owner said. “Tonya is very well-respected for her work with the Greater Savannah Coalition on Aging, Hospice Savannah’s Edel Caregiver Institute, and other health care experience.”

Hillis comes to Coastal Care Partners from Hospice Savannah, where she started in Community Outreach and Education and most recently served as Director of Community Services. Prior to Hospice Savannah, she was Operations Manager for Wound Care Clinic ESU.

In her new role, Hillis will establish and grow relationships with medical providers and community business partners to leverage services that Coastal Care Partners provides to its clients. Hillis will also ensure implementation of service and quality consistency, develop and implement the company’s organizational policies and procedures, and oversee and manage the daily and strategic operations, staff and employee performance. 

She is certified as an RCI-REACH (Resources Enhancing Alzheimer’s Caregiver Health) Coach as well as an instructor for Dealing with Dementia and Age-U-Cate Dementia Live.  Hillis attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro and Armstrong State University in Savannah. She is an active member of Georgia CARE-Net Coalition and Greater Savannah Coalition on Aging, where she also served as a board member and board secretary.
